Training: Scaffold Safety

Safety and Risk Management is hosting a Scaffold Safety course.  This course examines the OSHA Scaffold Standard (OSHA 29 CFR 1926.454) and prepares the attendee to work under a Qualified supervisor for set-up, use, and tear-down of scaffolding.  At the conclusion of the course, you will be able to Understand the nature of scaffold hazards; Identify and perform the correct procedures for erecting, disassembling, moving, operating, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining the type of scaffold in question; and Understand the design criteria, maximum intended load-carrying capacity and intended use of the scaffold.
