Wolverine Documentary Screening
Museum of the Rockies, Hager Auditorium
Join us at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Tuesday April 2th from 7:00-9:00PM for a screening of the award-winning PBS NATURE documentary, Wolverine: Chasing the Phantom-- followed by a short panel discussion with the film director and experts on wolverine biology. The panel will discuss the recent federal proposal to protect wolverines under the Endangered Species Act as well as the production of the film.
Wolverines are one of the most elusive and awe-inspiring animals in North America. The largest land-dwelling member of the weasel family, these tough scavengers reproduce very slowly and raise their kits in deep alpine snow. Climate change is expected to significantly decrease their habitat in the lower 48 states. The evening will offer a rare glimpse into the life of this tenacious animal.
This event, presented by Defenders of Wildlife, the Montana Chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology, and Montana Backcountry Alliance is open to the public.
