Poetry and Reflections with Frederick Turner

Distinguished international poet and academic Frederick Turner will present a free lecture, "The Undiscovered Country and Reflections," at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Montana State University's Museum of the Rockies Hager Auditorium.
The Founders Professor of Arts and Humanities at the University of Texas, Dallas, Turner has mesmerized audiences for more than four decades with his poems, novels, and essays aimed at bridging the gap between art and science, humanities and technology. He is known for the range of his work, from Shakespeare to science fiction, and masterful form.
A reception with Turner at 6 p.m. will precede the lecture.
While the event is free, seating is limited. Free tickets, which will be a keepsake postcard by Helena artist Trudi Skari printed with one of Turner's poems, will be available through the MSU Department of History, Philosophy and Religious Studies at in Wilson Hall 2-155.
The event is sponsored by Corona Productions, the MSU Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies, the Department of English, and the University Honors Program.
