Mathematical Sciences Colloquium Series, Sakari Kuikka

A free public lecture about the use of mathematical models to assess and analyze risk will be given at Montana State University.

Sakari (Sakke) Kuikka, a professor of fisheries sciences in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at the University of Helsinki, Finland, will present "The Role of Science in Creating Best Practices for Oil Industry Activities: Modeling of Unseen Impacts." This lecture is part of MSU's Mathematical Sciences Colloquium Series. A reception will follow.

The Department of Mathematical Sciences, the College of Letters and Science and the Office of the Vice President for Research, Creativity and Technology Transfer are sponsoring this lecture.
