MSU Doctorial candidate, Jennifer Hill, has chronicled the history of childbirth in Montana. This lecture charts birth in the state from territorial times through the homesteading era, examines the factors that made birthing in Montana challenging, and explores the ways that women adapted to isolated conditions and limited medical care.
