MSU's Faculty Senate Leadership
Congratulations to Robert Mokwa (Civil Engineering), who will take over as Chair of Montana State University's Faculty Senate and Michael Reidy (History & Philosophy), who was elected Chair-elect of Faculty Senate. These two representatives will serve a one-year term beginning September 1, 2013. During the recent Board of Regents meeting, Robert Mokwa also was appointed Chair of the Montana University Faculty Association Representatives (MUSFAR), which is an organization that represents the faculty of the Montana University System through their elected faculty governance leadership for each of the eight campuses within the MUS. The MUSFAR organization represents faculty to the Montana Board of Regents and the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education on issues that pertain to the academic affairs of the MUS.
Faculty Senate leadership wishes to thank all Faculty Senate members who participated in discussions and decision-making processes of the many diverse issues that were presented to them this academic year. Faculty Senate meetings are open and held every Wednesday during the academic year, 4:10 - 5:30 pm, 346 Leon Johnson. For more information, visit http://www2.montana.edu/facultysenate/
