Romney Gym

Today, Romney Gym is used for physical education classes and houses the Department of Health and Human Development’s Extension nutrition programs, movement sciences labs, the Team Nurtrition program, MSU employee wellness office and first-year studios for the School of Architecture. Additionally, two human performance labs are located in Romney, as well as two areas that serve architecture students.

Named for G. Ott Romney, head football and basketball coach, 1922-1928, the gym was home court for the legendary "Golden Bobcat" basketball teams of 1927-29, and the center of athletics from 1922 - 1958.
